We love the set for the youth at Keystone in Kettering. So after after playing their only a month ago... we were back to play at there annual out door event. What a crowd. The boy's were bonkers and the girls were great. Such a great atmosphere, every body just having good fun.

The Mowglee boy's do a ' lotta work for charity, but don't like to talk about it,......mate'. Oakham was the setting and after watching the England lads burn out in the world cup.....it was steam ahead to liven up the place on such a glorious day, and lift everyone's spirits ( not the spirits in their glasses). So not much time to take any photos. A rare chance to meet the manager ( Mike ) and of cause............. he was in the beer tent ( watch where you put that big finger).

What a great night. Even the Mowglee guy's had a little trouble navigating their way around the Milton Keynes urban jungle. They made it and enjoyed every minute of it.

Some crazy & cool Guy's & Gal's at Escape, all just enjoying what was a great night with 5 bands from around the country. Mowglee funked up, what would other wise have been a thrash/rock night, and ...................... it looked like the crowd approved.
Lots going on all around the place so only got to take 1 picture and only because this lot below were ultra cool crew.

the gig in London last Saturday was great but sorry no pictures, I forgot the camera memory card at home. A long day and thank you to all who were there that night. A big.... Last Saturday Mowglee returned to Edwards # 8 and the mostly young crowd amused and it looked like the peeps were enjoying what they heard so Mowglee threw in a new track and the new single which went down a scream.
Hoping Maxrock enjoyed it to and they new single hit a chord with the manager who came to show his appreciation to the band ( thank you ). Any how have a look at the some the pictures of crazy crowd there that night.

What a venue and what a crowd but it didn’t surprise the Mowglee crew because we know our hommie's in Birmingham know how to let loose.
St Martin’s was alive with locals & out-of-towners. Mowglee warmed up the crowd & we hope the crowd enjoyed the night. Respect to Re-united and all the organisers that night, Mowglee wish you bigger a better nights for the future. Take a look at some of the peeps there that night.

Super hero's spotted in Norwich

ACTION!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's the Mowglee men, "CUT". Filming was under way for Mowglee's video to coincide with the new single release, 'Take off' and the way that Patrick was spinning around in the telephone box, he nearly did. All in all a great day filming and a great gig on the night. Thanks to Soulcry, who did a excellent job warming up the crowd. The Norwich guys & gals were the bomb. Everyone keep an eye on the site for news on the video, watch it to see if you can spot your face. Mean while see the pics below of all the Norwich hero's that night. C.U all Soon.

The new Single

The new single, 'Take Off' has had its first feedback! We have sent the first copy to our friends at Pulse Radio (Sky 905) who absolutely love it!!! They have said that they are going to be playing it very soon (as well as the amazing remix we had done by Lomax) so if you want to hear it FIRST, have a listen in. If we find out some times that it is goiong to be on, we will post them on here.

Mowglee was asked to to revisit the Brum based Rock club thanks to Rob who runs promotional night there ( Thank you Rob ). Thanks to all the peeps that came to watch and the other bands that were there last Saturday night. Big shout to the drummer of Black Canvas ( pictured below ) appreciate the positive feed back.

Unfortunately it seems that messages were disappearing from the guestbook for a short while and then it decided it wasn't going to take any more. Great night at the Sanctuary in B'ham, many floors of music and mayhem. Mowglee was there to rock their home town. Us Brummies are mad and as always we found the afro of all afro's in our home town ( see bottom pic ).

No bag pipes playing but lots of fun to be had at this youth weekend at Whitlaugh park. Kids from all around the country were there and Mowglee was there on Saturday to give the youngsters a night of music. As well as all the activities it was good clean highland air and we think that there was definitely something in the air because the guys & gal's were crazy, ( just the way we like it) check it out!

This fourpiece band from Birmingham (UK) produces an album with a blend of rock, pop, soul, funk and so on. Its hard to pinpoint them down in some genre but its melodic for sure. They won a GEM-award in 2004. Not a hard rockin’ band but a band that makes clever music with thoughtful lyrics. Listen to songs like “Twenty three” , “Lifeline”, “Waiting for the day” and “All I give to you” and you get the idea. The singer has a voice that fits well with the music and the musicians are all competent. Not your average band. So if you people like to listen to something different and refreshing for a change than you should check out this band.

Bar @ the academy

hot night at Bar@the academy I think we all lost a load of weight through sweating but nothing dampens the Mowglee guy's we're used to the Jungle remember and there's no Jungle like our home city of Birmingham. Thank to the other 2 bands that played that night and all the guys and gal's that came to support us. The highlight of the night had to be meeting and talking to Huey of Fun Loving Criminals who had just finished playing at the Carling academy just as we were loading our gear into our cars.

Forget 'Party in the Park', the outdoor festival at Burgess Hill organized by mid-Sussex Christian centre we played along side 3 other great bands: Zealous, Crossbeam & Replenish. A long day but enjoyed by both young and old. Thanks to all the guys and gals for their support.

Mowglee was voted the best new group at the Gem awards in 2003 and picked up a lovely glass trophy.

The Gem awards organizers wanted us back this year and asked us to play at the Jam house in Birmingham as a run up to the 2005 Gem awards competition.

Birmingham's only rock club, boasting 3 floors of live music with some young talented musicians. Mowglee showed the youngsters a thing or two and got the promoter listening, he was that impressed he called some of his staff in to listen too.
Yet again we meet a guy with a cool afro, Bob from one of the other bands that night ( Aville ).

As always playing to a home crowd was a treat, seeing peep's we haven't seen in a long while and new fans who appreciated the Mowglee vibe was great. Yet again we met a guy with a cool afro ( Peanut from Bham )

also a shout to the Guy's & Gal's from Rotometrics in Walsall for there support as well as all the other Mowglistic fans there on the night.

We're hoping to return the Flapper soon. If you can't wait you will be able to see us at the Bar Academy on the 15th of September, keep an eye out for more details.

every gig we do, we meet a wide array of cool people, take a look at this cool chap we meet at Wymondham in Norfolk, a body popping rapper.

Hello to you all!

Thought I'd drop you a line on the blog. Just played a gig in Kettering last Saturday 9th July, kicked off the afternoon half of the show. Went well, got there on time, so Mikey will be pleased with that.

Will be in Redditch this Saturday hopefully the weather will hold, and we'll have a great day. On the 23rd we'll be finally playing a gig in Brum, so all the local fans will be pleased about that. Over the last year we have been all around the country, so it'll be nice having a gig at home.

As you may have noticed we have been a bit light on the old merch in the past few months with only cd's for sale. Well don't fear we have a batch of T-shirts with the new logo coming in very soon and we have just taken a delivery of some really cool stickers.

Hey Mowglee fans, really sorry its been so long since the site was last updated. I have had a virus on my computer and now don't have dreamweaver to update the site, as soon as its back I will make sure all the latest news goes on the front page.

Until then there is loads to tell you about. The band have been gigging up and down the country in the past month, with gigs in Schools, churches pubs and clubs. A big mention has to go to the guys at Billericay who were fantastic. In fact they were so good that the sockets blew and we were without power for a while!
